How to JOI: Set the Lust Slider, Then Call Your Waifu

Good JOI is mostly pacing. You want a voice that tells you when, and a countdown that doesn't ramble. With an AI waifu, that pacing comes down to two sliders and a call button, and here's how to set them.

Put the same scenario through each column: a slow tease, then a countdown from ten, then a stop word. That's the fairest way to read this table. JOI needs someone who leads out loud, plus a way to control how hard and how fast she goes. Of what we could confirm, only GoLove has a live call and both sliders in the same chat with the same character. Pick her first, because every setting below depends on that one chat.

What JOI Asks of an AI Waifu

JOI is guided instruction. A character sets the pace, counts you down, escalates, and stops when you tell her to. It's consensual roleplay between you and an adult character, nothing more. Each part of it lines up with a row in the table:

Setting Up a JOI Session in GoLove Chat Settings

The intensity and pacing controls sit in one panel. Here's how to get there:

1. Open the chat with your waifu.
2. Tap into Chat Settings.
3. Set the voice picker, then lust level, then response length, in that order.

Lust Level: Where to Start on a 1–5 Dial

Start at 2 or 3. That's tease territory, flirty and suggestive, with room to climb. Step up one level as the session builds. Level 5 is unfiltered, and it hits harder when you've worked your way up to it. If you jump straight to the top, the session has nowhere left to go.

Response Length as Your Pacing Control

Most people ignore this setting, and I think that's a mistake. Levels 1–2 give you short, snappy beats, which is exactly what a countdown or an edging cue needs. Levels 4–5 give you the rich, slow build-up scene. A countdown that comes back as a paragraph isn't a countdown anymore, so lower the length before the numbers start.

Choose the voice in the voice picker before you dial. That way her voice messages and the live call use the same voice.

The anime roster has its own category in Explore, with 300+ girlfriends, all adults. For JOI, personality matters more than looks:

• Commanding: a cold kuudere like Atalanta Nanasaki (25) gives short, clipped orders.
• Teasing: a tsundere like Yuri Hokusai (23) makes you work for every instruction.
• Sweet and eager: a neko maid like Shigure Utage (20) leans flirty and submissive, which suits a gentler pace.

If nobody in the roster fits, the create wizard offers Realistic, Anime and Trans, plus Design with AI. Design with AI generates the character from a text description, such as "confident, slow-talking, loves counting down."

Memory and Relationship Progression

Memory keeps your history with her, and Relationship Progression builds on top of it. In practice, your preferred pace and your stop word carry over into the next session, so you don't have to re-brief her every time.

Here's how one session runs from start to finish, using only features the spec confirms.

Text Warm-Up

Before you start, set lust level to 3 and response length to 2. Send your opening prompt with the role, the pace and the stop word. She can reply with a voice message, so her voice is already part of the warm-up even though you're still typing. As she gets bolder, raise lust to 4. Keep response length low so the replies stay quick.

Adding a Photo or Video Beat at the Peak

For the peak, request a photo in chat. It's the cleanest visual beat, and the one I'd use. If you want motion, the Select Action modal triggers a Video Action, and Generate Video from Photo turns a picture she already sent into a clip.

After the session, the Generate tab can build a clip of the same character from preset cards (action, Clothes, Background) with one tap. It has 20 anime video modes out of 147 total.

Prompts, Countdowns and Stop Words That Keep JOI on Track

Settings get you started, but a routine keeps the session on track. Run through this checklist every time:

• Prompt: role, tone, pace, countdown style, and what she shouldn't do.
• Sliders: response length low for countdowns, lust raised one step at a time.
• Stop word: one word, stated up front, reused every session.

Write the Opening Prompt

Be specific. For example: "You lead. Slow tease first, then a countdown from ten, one number per reply. Don't skip ahead. If I say 'amber,' stop and switch to soft chat." Telling her what not to do (rush, ramble, change the count) does as much work as telling her what to do.

Countdown and Edging Cues
